Stuart Blessing is a Chartered Electrical & Building Services Engineer with over 25 years of extensive experience in the power and construction industries. Specializing in the detailed design, specification, installation, and commissioning of electrical and power engineering systems, Stuart has been appointed as a technical expert on 18 occasions and has provided expert testimony in six arbitrations. His career spans building design consultancy, power generation, and the oil and gas industries, with project experience across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Stuart is well-versed in a wide range of industry guides, codes of practice, and standards. His areas of expertise include power generation plants, electrical distribution, electrical switchgear, transformers, fire and gas detection and suppression systems, building management systems (BMS), high-voltage operational safety and authorization, and electrical systems for railways, oil and gas facilities, and buildings. Stuart has undertaken commissions involving the preparation and design of power generation facilities, substations, transmission and distribution systems, railways (including traction power systems, signaling, and control), and root cause and failure analysis. He has also been responsible for writing company policies and delivering electrical safety training courses.
